•Nematodes : eelworms
Various different nematodes are liable to infest cyclamen (cyst nematodes, root-knot nematodes, lesion nematodes, stem and bulb nematode, &c.). Of them all, the most to be feared are Heterodera marioni and H.rostochiensis, both cyst nematodes. It is possible to take precautions by using commercial bagged compost. There are effective chemical and biological means of control.
